Electrical Engineer - Data Center

Develop and review electrical designs for medium- and low-voltage power distribution systems. Prepare single-line diagrams, electrical layouts, equipment specifications, schematics, and design calculations. Specify and evaluate switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS systems, and related electrical equipment. Perform or review load calculations, cable sizing, grounding designs, short-circuit studies, protective device coordination, and arc-flash studies. Review designs for reliability, redundancy, constructability, and compliance with applicable codes and project requirements. Coordinate with mechanical, civil, structural, architectural, and utility teams. Provide technical guidance to clients, contractors, equipment vendors, and project stakeholders. Review equipment submittals, respond to RFIs, and resolve electrical design and construction issues. Support site inspections, installation reviews, equipment testing, energization, and commissioning. Contribute to project scope development, schedules, estimates, and engineering deliverables. Maintain quality standards and support the development of junior engineers and designers.

A successful Electrical Engineer - Data Center should have:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience designing electrical power distribution systems for large data centers, industrial facilities, or comparable complex projects.
• Strong understanding of medium- and low-voltage systems, equipment selection, grounding, and electrical protection.
• Familiarity with NEC, applicable IEEE standards, and electrical safety requirements.
• Experience with electrical analysis software such as ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or comparable design tools.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across engineering and construction teams.
