Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Valid state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: Experience in trauma ICU First-timers accepted Description: This position is for an experienced registered nurse in the trauma ICU. The role requires strong skills in the care of ventilated patients, continuous IV sedation, and ICP monitoring. Registered nurses will be floated to meet facility needs based on staffing requirements. Weekend coverage is required. The hospital is a Magnet and teaching facility with level II trauma capabilities. Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The daily census for the unit is approximately nine patients. The nursing team collaborates with interdisciplinary support services, including IV teams, physical therapy, and rapid response teams. The unit cares for patients with various trauma diagnoses, including surgical, neurosurgical, and complex wound care. Staff members are expected to adhere to a strict dress code policy. No visible body piercings other than earrings are allowed, and all tattoos must be covered. Candidates must comply with the facility's grooming standards, which do not allow facial hair or unnatural hair colors. This position requires commitment and adaptability to meet the demands of the trauma ICU environment.
