Details\n \n 12-hour day shift schedule, 36 hours per week \n Respiratory Therapy Services unit at a Level III Trauma Center with Level III NICU and Comprehensive Stroke Center designation \n Magnet-designated 933-bed facility \n Patient population mostly geriatric and adult, with some pediatric cases in the ED \n 1:1 patient ratios \n Floats within hospital to all units \n Weekend rotation every other weekend \n Holiday rotation as assigned \n On-call requirements vary \n Uses AVEA, Servo U, LPU 1200, Parapack (MRI), and Hamilton (transport) ventilators \n EPIC EMR and Pyxis medication system \n Requirements\n \n BLS and ACLS certification required \n CRT or RRT certification required \n License required if applicable \n Minimum 1 year of core experience in respiratory therapy, with recent experience within the last year \n Skilled in vent management, CPAP, BiPAP, nebulizer treatments, A-line placement, intubation, vent weaning, extubation, and ABGs \n EPIC EMR experience required \n One professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN \n Candidate's middle name/initial, date of birth, and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration \n Additional Information\n \n Provide respiratory care across all hospital units through floating assignments \n One orientation shift provided to learn unit flow and workflow \n Block scheduling is not accommodated \n Staff, including travelers, may not work more than 60 hours per week or 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts per facility fatigue policy \n COVID vaccine required \n Scrubs of any color accepted except camo or denim \n Free parking available \n First-time travelers considered upon review \n Former employees of Advocate Health or its subsidiaries must be separated at least 12 months before becoming eligible for a travel assignment \n Up to 7 days of time off can be approved \n No radius restrictions; local candidates accepted at the same pay rate \n \n \n American Traveler Job ID P-756186.
