You'll safely navigate the highway and city streets, back into tight docks, and unload with precision. The CDL A Delivery Driver role goes beyond simply transporting goods - it’s about perfecting the craft of delivery, earning trust mile by mile, and serving as a vital link to our customers. \n Key Responsibilities \n \n Safe Driving: Deliver products to our customers in a timely and safe manner. \n Unloading: Skillfully unload products efficiently using a two-wheeler, ramp, or by hand, placing them in the designated storage areas – 100% touch freight. \n Delivery Verification: Verify deliveries with customers & secure signatures. \n Customer Service: Provide professional service to enhance customer experience. \n Equipment Inspection: Conduct pre- & post-trip inspections to uphold safety standards. \n Account Management: Handle collections and payments when applicable. \n Adaptability: All other duties assigned by management. \n \n \n Physical Requirements \n \n Lift/carry/push/pull/lower 20 to 80 lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required. \n Driving & working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10 per shift) required. \n Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment as low as 0 degrees. \n Continuously grasp objects & manipulate objects. Frequently sit, stand, walk, drive, climb/balance, stoop/squat, kneel/bend, bend, reach above shoulder, twist, and use manual dexterity. \n \n \n Qualifications \n \n Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse* \n Must be at least 21 years of age. \n Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications. \n Minimum 6-months commercial driving experience (any industry) OR 3-months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required. \n Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations. \n Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records. \n \n \n About US FOODS® \n Click here to learn more! \n \n *Registering to the FMCSA Clearinghouse is a requirement by the Department of Transportation.
