MRI Technologist

Astera Cancer Care

Baton Rouge, LA

Scope Under general supervision, is responsible for maintaining safety in the MRI environment while assessing patients and performing routine MRI procedures in accordance with prescribed safety procedures and protocols; ensures patient safety, technical quality, and timely transfer of data; fabricates any necessary immobilization devices prior to scan as needed. Essential Functions Perform diagnostic MRI scans for routine radiologic exams. Perform MRI scans for radiation treatment planning purposes. Provide expert advice and build protocols. Transport patients if no personnel is available. Perform other related responsibilities as required and/or directed. Qualifications Graduate of an AMA accredited program in radiologic technology. 5 years experience as MRI Technologist. Registered by ARRT with current license by the state of Louisiana. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. ARRT advanced MR certification. #J-18808-Ljbffr
