In this hands-on role, you will design and optimize CI/CD pipelines, develop Python automation tools, and manage cloud infrastructure and deployment workflows supporting AI model development and delivery. As a DevOps & Automation Engineer, you will help build and maintain the infrastructure, automation, and deployment pipelines supporting confidential AI initiatives, including the development of datasets used for AI model training.This role offers the opportunity to gain end-to-end experience with AI model deployment pipelines while working across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, Python automation, and engineering operations. You'll collaborate with experienced engineers to solve complex technical challenges, improve system reliability, and create automation that accelerates software development and delivery.Top Required Skills (Must Haves):DevOps & CI/CD Engineering – 2+ years of hands-on experience designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines, build systems, deployment automation, and software release workflows using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools.Python Programming & Automation – Strong Python scripting and programming skills to automate engineering workflows, software builds, testing, deployments, and operational processes.Cloud Infrastructure & Source Control – Experience with Microsoft Azure or another major cloud platform, including provisioning resources, managing environments, and troubleshooting infrastructure issues. Strong Git and modern source-control experience may be considered in place of Azure experience.The expertise you bring:Bachelor's degree.2+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps engineering, CI/CD, build engineering, or release engineering.Strong Python programming and scripting skills, with experience developing practical automation solutions.Experience with Microsoft Azure or another major cloud platform.Proficiency with Git and modern source-control workflows.Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent technologies.Solid understanding of software build, testing, deployment, and release processes.Experience diagnosing and resolving infrastructure, build, deployment, and environment issues.Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux operating environments.Ability to independently investigate technical challenges and implement effective solutions.Strong technical communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.Experience with Azure DevOps and GitHub preferred.Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization and orchestration technologies preferred.Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, or Ansible preferred.Knowledge of monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting systems preferred.Understanding of networking, identity and access management, certificates, secrets management, and cloud security preferred.Experience supporting development, testing, staging, and production environments preferred.A successful candidate brings a versatile engineering background that extends beyond traditional CI/CD pipeline management. You are comfortable working across Python automation, Azure infrastructure, source control, deployment systems, and operational troubleshooting, with the ability to quickly understand unfamiliar technologies and independently resolve complex technical challenges.Previous experience at Microsoft or another large-scale technology organization is particularly valuable, especially in environments requiring reliable automation, efficient release management, and cross-functional engineering collaboration. You proactively identify opportunities to improve workflows, develop scalable automation solutions, and mitigate operational risks.
