Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• No current placement allowed at Program: McLeod Health (Direct) - Main Program.

Additional Details:

Unit Details: Provides respiratory care throughout the facility and responds to Code Blue and Rapid Response alerts. On average responsible for 8 vented patients in a unit. Floor assignments consist of 3-4 floors. On average 2-3 intrahospital transports (CT, MRI, Specials) per shift. Specially trained staff may perform pulmonary function testing, methacholine challenges, hyperbaric medicine, NICU care, PICU care, and asthma education. Equipment includes Servo i vent, V60 BiPAP, and iStat for ABG analysis.

Shift & Scheduling: No call. Every other weekend.

Floating Requirements: Assignments may be paired with step-down and/or floor assignments.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead references required

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
