This position requires a dedicated and experienced nurse to join our team in a fast-paced and high-demand environment. Unit Information\n Location: Houston, TX \n Unit Type: CardioVascular Operating Room Unit Overview\n \n Number of CVORs: 5 (including 1 Hybrid and 1 Hybrid shared with Cath Lab) \n Staffing: 7 Registered Nurses (including 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator, 1 PRN, 1 Part-Time), 6 Certified Surgical Technologists \n Shift Type: Day Shift \n Patient Ratios: Based on unit needs \n EMR System: [To be provided] \n Responsibilities\n The primary responsibilities include: \n \n Providing high-quality nursing care in the CardioVascular Operating Room. \n Assisting in a variety of advanced cardiac and vascular surgical procedures. \n Working effectively under pressure and responding adeptly to emergency situations. \n Collaboration with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. \n Qualifications\n Minimum Requirements: \n \n At least 2 years of exclusive CVOR experience in cardiac and vascular surgery. \n BLS and ACLS certifications are required. \n \n Preferred Qualifications: \n \n 5 years of CVOR experience. \n Experience in scrub and circulating roles. \n Typical Procedures Performed\n \n Vascular: Open and Endovascular procedures. \n Complex Cardiac: Includes Type A dissections, sternotomies, CABG, AVR, MVR, VSD repairs, Impella/ECMO insertions, and a variety of robotic and endovascular procedures. \n Best Personality Fit\n We are looking for candidates who: \n \n Thrive in high-pressure environments and approach emergencies with composure. \n Demonstrate a strong team-oriented attitude and communicate effectively with colleagues. \n Additional Information\n Floating Areas: Main OR, Cath Lab, IR \n Dress Code: Black scrubs provided by the CVOR department. \n Call Requirement: Call is required, including weekend coverage. \n \n Thrive Staffing Job ID 19023031.
