Reentry Therapist Full time – Salaried – 4 West 125th Street, New York, NY, US Salary: $72,100.00 Annually Job Title: Reentry Therapist Job Summary: CASES is seeking a compassionate and culturally competent Reentry Therapist to provide trauma‑informed, evidence‑based care to adults impacted by the criminal legal system. Working within a multidisciplinary team, the Therapist conducts assessments, develops recovery‑focused treatment plans, and provides individual and group therapy. The role emphasizes integrated, person‑centered care and collaboration with both clinical and justice system partners. Work within CASES's Pretrial Services Department, serving participants with serious mental illness, substance use disorders, and psychosocial needs. Shift Hours: Full‑time Monday – Friday; shifts include 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 11:00 PM – 7:00 PM. Location: 4 West 125th Street, New York, NY 10027 Workplace Flexibility: Hybrid – one full day remote per week, after 90‑day introductory period. What You Will Be Doing: Providing individual and group therapy in a mental health outpatient treatment and recovery services setting. Conducting screenings and assessments using evidence‑based tools for depression, trauma, substance use, and risk. Using sequential risk screening for violence and suicide and implementing risk‑management protocols. Developing person/family‑centered, recovery‑oriented treatment plans in collaboration with clients, collaterals, and consented stakeholders. Coordinating with CASES psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, nursing staff, peers, case managers, and administrative staff. Utilizing evidence‑based approaches consistent with CASES’s culture, health/mental health integration, rehabilitation, recovery, and understanding the impact of incarceration on treatment engagement. Ensuring timely and accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) according to CASES policies, NYS Office of Mental Health regulations, and federal laws. Maintaining a safe work environment by reporting hazards or unsafe conditions to facilities staff or supervisors. What We Are Looking For: Current New York State LCSW, LMSW, or LMHC. Strong passion to work with individuals impacted by the criminal legal system. At least two years of experience with individuals diagnosed with a mental illness or substance use disorder. Demonstrated experience treating diverse adults, including those with serious mental illness, functional impairments, homelessness, poverty, and unemployment. Preferred Skills: Bilingual – Spanish.
