Transplant financial Coordinator Lead

Job Overview Hybrid, full‑time (40 hours per week) position located at SSM Health – Saint Louis Hospital. Candidates must reside within 30 minutes of the hospital and work Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 4:30PM. Responsibilities Coordinate operations of assigned activities, resources, and associates within the financial coordination team. Manage, validate, and communicate all insurance aspects related to transplant patients. Handle clinical evaluation correspondence with payers. Coordinate insurance and billing payments, resolving financial issues with Patient Billing Services, Professional Billing entities, and other relevant business units. Serve as primary customer‑service contact for all billing, registration, and insurance matters. Complete Work Quality activities required for Medicare Cost Report (MCR) accountability. Attend meetings with physicians, administration, and staff to relay insurance information and gather information on potential transplant patients. Maintain knowledge of all acceptable local plans and specialty payers, including transplant language. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements Education: High School diploma/GED or equivalent experience. Experience: Minimum three years’ experience in insurance and authorizations. License/Certification: None required. Physical Requirements Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0–25lbs; occasional lifting of 25–50lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements. Use of vision, hearing, depth perception, and speaking for communication; frequent keyboard use/data entry. Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, and gripping.
