Responsibilities Summary/Job Scope Purpose of Position : Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, and physical structures. Perform 5 senses inspections on machines or equipment to detect malfunctions, diagnose problem and repair machine. Dismantle defective machinery and equipment, install new or repaired parts as required. Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery. Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment. Repair and maintain physical structures. Perform rigging and lifting of heavy loads. Fabricate from prints or sketches in accurate and timely manner. Operate cutting torch and welding equipment to cut or join metal parts. Inspect parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using rules, calipers, micrometers, or other measuring devices. Participate in good housekeeping practices within the plant. Promote environmental and safety awareness in alignment with safety and environmental goals. Conduct routine planned work observations. Qualifications Heavy industrial experience is required. Pneumatic and hydraulic equipment experience is required. Previous experience with dismantling and repairing machinery is required. Journeyman Millwright license/card is required. Note This job description may not cover all duties and requirements and may include additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
