Your Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and crafting personalized care plans
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health conditions collaboratively or independently, depending on your credentials
• Providing vital education to patients and families on preventing illness, promoting wellness, and managing diseases
• Prescribing medication and treatments as permitted by your professional scope

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Essential Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in Illinois
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent in your specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to acquire within a 90-day period)
