Robotics and Industrial Controls - Instructor

Job Description As an Instructor at TSTC, you will deliver approved curriculum, content, and assessments in an applied learning environment. Responsibilities include facilitation of activities and discussions that engage a range of learning styles with targeted guidance and mentorship to students. Faculty will interpret and administer assessments, provide constructive feedback to support student growth and learning outcomes, and integrate technology effectively to enrich the educational experience. Faculty act as ambassadors for their programs and TSTC, demonstrating core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service, and Integrity with internal and external stakeholders. Instructional Delivery Prepare and deliver high-quality instruction and facilitate learning of students. Develop appropriate course syllabi and instructional plans. Organize daily classes using a variety of creative and innovative techniques. Instructional Management Fulfill assigned schedule. Maintain accurate student records. Maintain instructional environment with emphasis on safety and equipment security where applicable. Ensure opportunities for student/participant evaluation. Student Retention and Placement Provide student advisement ensuring timely, accurate, and comprehensive information. Collaborate with Office of Student Success to update students on tutoring and other retention programs. Program Recruitment & Promotion Participate in related tours and recruitment events and assist in department/program planning for recruitment. Teamwork & Service Demonstrate willingness to be of service, exhibit courteous behavior toward students, parents, employers, media, and the public. Maintain flexibility, including availability for evening, weekend, or summer assignments; work effectively in a team; commit to the mission, vision, and values of the college. Core Competencies Teaching & Learning – deliver high-quality instruction and facilitate learning, organize daily classes with creative techniques, tailor methods to diverse learners. Mentorship & Coaching – understand and empathize with student experiences, provide personalized guidance, articulate ideas clearly, foster open communication. Assessment & Feedback – create and use assessments to provide constructive feedback, continually evaluate and improve teaching strategies. Technology Integration – effectively use technology to enhance learning experiences. Required Skills, Knowledge, and Licenses Verifiable work experience in the automation/manufacturing industry. Strong electrical and programming skills. Working knowledge of: Electrical Control Systems Electrical Control Schematics Motor Control Systems Maintenance of Industrial Equipment Robotic Systems PLC Programming Machine Interfacing Industrial Safety Preferred Skills, Knowledge, and Licenses Fanuc Handling Tool Certification.
