Engineering Data AnalystAMS is seeking an Engineering Data Analyst to support the analysis of instrumentation data collected from operating nuclear power plants as part of AMS's Online Monitoring (OLM) program.OLM is a condition-based maintenance technology used to evaluate the performance, reliability, and long-term health of critical plant instrumentation. Rather than relying solely on periodic manual calibrations, OLM uses sensor measurement data and engineering analysis to determine whether instruments are performing within established limits and whether calibration or maintenance may be needed.This is an applied engineering and data analysis role for someone who wants to work with real nuclear plant data, proprietary engineering software, instrumentation systems, and technically rigorous reporting. The Engineering Data Analyst will analyze plant operating data, support engineering evaluations, participate in field data acquisition activities, and contribute to reports used by nuclear utilities to make maintenance and calibration decisions by directly contributing to plant safety, reliability, and cost reductions.Successful Engineering Data Analyst combine strong analytical ability with curiosity, sound judgment, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality. Training will be provided in AMS's OLM methodology, proprietary analysis software, nuclear plant instrumentation, nuclear safety culture, nuclear plant work management and licensing strategies, quality assurance processes, and technical reporting requirements.The goal of this position is to develop an engineer who can grow into a trusted technical contributor capable of independently performing OLM analysis, supporting field testing, preparing high-quality engineering reports, and helping advance and grow AMS's condition-based maintenance technologies throughout the industry.Analyze sensor measurement data from operating nuclear power plants to evaluate the performance and condition of pressure, level, and flow instrumentation.Apply AMS's OLM methodology to plant startup, steady-state, and shutdown data.Use proprietary AMS software tools to organize, process, analyze, and review plant instrumentation data.Identify trends, anomalies, data gaps, unusual instrument behavior, and potential instrumentation issues that require further technical evaluation.Prepare draft OLM mid-cycle and end-of-cycle reports documenting analysis results, conclusions, and recommended actions.Support the preparation of technical information for OLM amenability evaluations, limits reports, drift analyses, noise analyses, and related licensing documentation.Review transmitter definitions, plant data, supporting documentation, and analysis inputs for completeness, consistency, and technical accuracy.Participate in on-site data acquisition and testing activities at nuclear power plants and customer facilities as needed.Assist with plant-trip preparation, including pre-trip research, equipment configuration, documentation, checkout, and verification.Support field testing teams by acquiring data, documenting testing activities, performing preliminary analysis, and helping prepare customer deliverables.Complete plant-trip and laboratory documentation, internal trip reports, analysis notebooks, and quality assurance records.Support quality assurance testing of OLM-related software by executing test plans, documenting results, and reporting discrepancies.Learn and apply applicable nuclear industry standards, regulatory requirements, customer requirements, AMS procedures, and quality assurance processes.Work closely with senior engineers and technical leaders to resolve analysis questions and ensure results are accurate, defensible, and clearly communicated.Contribute ideas that improve AMS's OLM analysis methods, software tools, procedures, reporting processes, and overall service quality.These responsibilities reflect the core expectations established for AMS's entry-level Engineering Data Analyst position, including OLM analysis, software proficiency, report preparation, quality assurance support, plant-trip participation, and disciplined documentation.A curious and analytical engineer who enjoys working with data, instrumentation, software, and real-world engineering problems.A detail-oriented professional who understands that small errors in data analysis or documentation can matter in a safety-critical industry.A critical thinker who looks beyond simply completing an analysis but asks whether the results are technically reasonable.A proactive learner who wants to master specialized engineering methodologies, proprietary tools, nuclear plant systems, regulatory expectations, and grow in their career at AMS.A clear communicator who can explain technical results, raise questions promptly, and represent AMS professionally with customers and plant personnel.A reliable and personally accountable team member who follows through on assigned work and takes ownership of results.A coachable engineer who accepts technical review and feedback as part of producing accurate, high-quality work.A collaborative professional who works effectively with engineers, technicians, managers, software developers, and customers.Someone who wants to build a long-term technical career in data analysis, instrumentation monitoring, condition-based maintenance, and the nuclear power industry.QualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Nuclear Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related technical discipline.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work with numerical data, engineering software, spreadsheets, technical documentation, and structured analysis processes.Strong attention to detail in data review, analysis, documentation, and report preparation.Ability to follow established engineering procedures and work within a quality-assured environment.Clear written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet established project and report deadlines.Willingness to travel to nuclear power plants and customer facilities as needed.Prior experience with OLM is not required;
