Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

• 2 years of experience required

• First time travelers accepted

• Community hospital experience required

• Patient ratios typically 1:2, may flex to 1:3 when needed

• Weekend coverage required every other weekend

• Care for adult patients in ICU setting with 18 daily census

• 23 rooms available in unit

• Self-scheduling system

• One pre-approved time off allowed

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS

• Preferred certifications: CPI, NIHSS, TNCC

• Must be proficient in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias

• Experience with pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring required

• Central line care and management skills needed

• IV insertion and maintenance required

• Care of ventilated patients and ventilator management essential

• Ability to titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips

• Knowledge of infection prevention and isolation precautions

• Use of Accudose medication system and Cerner documentation system

• SBAR communication system utilized

• Blue scrubs required

• Stepdown assignments may be included with 1:3 patient ratios

• Candidates within 75 miles considered local with rate decrease

Facility:

This community hospital operates a comprehensive intensive care unit that provides critical care services to adult patients. The facility maintains a 23-room ICU with stepdown capabilities and supports a daily census of approximately 18 patients. The hospital offers extensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services to ensure comprehensive patient care.
