Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients, focusing on the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms, including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder.
• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that reflect their specific needs, including evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies to foster understanding and facilitate recovery.
• Regularly monitor and track client progress, adjusting treatment plans and interventions as necessary to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
• Work closely with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to ensure comprehensive, integrated care that promotes optimal mental health.
• Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in mental health, particularly related to mood disorders, to enhance treatment strategies and improve client outcomes.
• Maintain confidential, precise records in compliance with legal and ethical standards while participating in case consultations and team meetings.
• Engage in advocacy efforts aimed at reducing mental health stigma and addressing the needs of underrepresented populations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals struggling with mood disorders, including those who may also be experiencing homelessness or other challenging life circumstances. You will be instrumental in providing therapeutic services specifically tailored to address the unique challenges faced by these vulnerable populations, ensuring that they receive the support needed during difficult times.

Qualifications

• A valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is essential.
• Demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to forge secure, trusting relationships with clients.
• Exhibit empathy, a nonjudgmental attitude, and a deep understanding of client experiences and struggles.

Compensation and Benefits
