Job Description

This contract role offers an opportunity for experienced pipefitters to support a construction project in Fayetteville, NC. You will install and fit Carbon steel, Screw pipe, Well Pipe in an commercial environment while working a consistent weekly schedule on a long assignment.

Responsibilities

• Install and fit carbon steel, screw pipe, and well pipe in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, isometric drawings, and piping schematics to lay out and assemble piping systems.
• Perform precise pipe fitting, cutting, measuring, and alignment to ensure accurate installation of process piping.
• Assist with the installation of industrial and process piping systems, including carbon steel, screw, well piping.
• Use appropriate methods such as welding and brazing to join and secure piping components as required by the project.
• Verify proper support, anchoring, and alignment of piping systems to maintain integrity and performance.
• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality requirements for high-purity piping in a pharmaceutical environment.
• Follow all site safety procedures and OSHA-10 guidelines while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Collaborate with other trades and team members to complete tasks efficiently and meet project timelines.
• Participate in required screenings and site access procedures,

Essential Skills

• Proven experience with carbon, screw and well pipe fitting in industrial or process piping environments.
• Working with the install/rehab of boilers, chillers, tanks and pumps.
• Hands-on experience working with piping systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and piping drawings accurately.
• Proficiency in fitting carbon steel piping systems.
• Experience with welding and brazing techniques used in process piping installation.
• Familiarity with industrial and process piping installation practices and standards.
• OSHA-10 certification or completion of OSHA-10 safety training.
• Reliability to work a schedule of four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m
• Potential OT on Friday's and Saturday's

• Previous experience on military bases
• Working on industrial or commercial sites with strict safety and quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail and quality requirements.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a field construction team in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

This role is based on a military construction project site in Fayetteville, NC, focused on commercial project and medical piping systems. You will work primarily with carbon steel, screw and well piping, using tools and equipment suited for pipe fitting, welding, and brazing in a field construction environment. The schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., for a minimum six-month contract period. The work environment emphasizes strict safety practices, including adherence to OSHA-10 guidelines and compliance with site access requirements. You can expect an active, hands-on setting where coordination with other trades and quality standards are essential.

This is a Contract position based out of Fayetteville, NC.

The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $47.44/hr.
