Title: Bus Driver

Reports to: Transportation Director

Job Type: 6 Hours per day/hourly

Qualifications:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
Successful completion of driver training school
Ability to pass a criminal background check
Ability to pass a physical, including a drug test

Job Description:

Utilize map-reading skills to drive the bus to transport students over specified routes according to time schedule
Maintain a good driving record by complying with traffic regulations
Evacuate students from the school bus in case of emergency
Deal with stressful conditions in a professional manner
Perform and properly complete daily pre-trip inspections
Comply with discipline policies set forth in the School Code of Conduct for Transportation
Show proficiency in handling and maneuvering a school bus
Build a good rapport with students and parents
Other duties assigned by the Transportation Director

Salary: Starting at $20.87 per hour per the 2025-2027 Support Staff Agreement
