Travel RN - Cath Lab/EPAmerican TravelerUrbana, Illinois, United StatesAssignment type: travelShift: DaysLength (weeks): 13Openings: 1$3,247.00/week (estimated advertised weekly pay)DescriptionAmerican Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position requiring an active IL RN license and at least three years of relevant nursing experience.DetailsWork in the Electrophysiology Lab performing diagnostic and interventional cardiology proceduresProvide direct 1:1 patient care to adult patients undergoing EP proceduresDay shift schedule consisting of 4x 9-hour shifts (0700-1630 or 0730-1700) based on department needs with a rotating day offLate shifts assigned as needed to finish casesNo weekend or holiday shift requirementsNo floating requirementsWork as part of a 3-4 person team comprised of RNs and Radiology TechnologistsUses Epic for chartingRequirementsActive IL RN license in good standingCurrent BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification through the American Heart AssociationMinimum three years of relevant nursing experienceBSN preferredEpic charting experience requiredLevel 1 Trauma experience requiredExperience with moderate sedation, hemodynamic monitoring, and medication administrationExperience identifying and responding to life-threatening arrhythmiasAdditional InformationPerform initial patient assessments and develop individualized plans of careAdminister moderate sedation and monitor hemodynamics throughout proceduresParticipate in programmed electrical stimulation as directed by the physicianDocument procedure events and maintain accurate nursing recordsCollaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to coordinate safe patient careProvide emotional support and education to patients and familiesParticipate in ongoing quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiativesMust reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be consideredRTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contractLocal candidates will not be considered for this positionHours per week: 36Hours per shift: 12
