Inventory Control Manager

Potential Start Date: As Early as Next Week Veracity Hire is partnering with a well-established retail organization to hire an experienced Inventory Control Manager for an immediate temp-to-hire opportunity. The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of inventory across retail operations. This role partners closely with Retail Operations, Distribution, Merchandising, Accounting, and Loss Prevention to reduce inventory shrink, improve inventory accuracy, strengthen internal controls, and drive continuous process improvements. Key Responsibilities Lead inventory control operations, inventory reconciliations, and sales audit activities. Investigate and resolve shipping, receiving, and inventory discrepancies. Oversee physical inventories, inventory reporting, inventory transfers, and inventory adjustments. Prepare month-end inventory journal entries and reconcile inventory to the general ledger. Develop inventory procedures and train store and warehouse personnel on inventory processes. Partner with cross-functional teams to improve inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and internal controls. Reduce inventory shrink and improve inventory accuracy through effective inventory controls, audits, reconciliations, and process improvements. Qualifications Experience managing inventory control in a retail or multi-location environment. Strong knowledge of inventory reconciliations, physical inventories, inventory accounting, and general ledger reconciliations. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Experience with retail inventory management systems (KWI experience is a plus). Leadership experience with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
