Associate Veterinarian

Tempus Veterinary Recruitment

Introduction
A long-established veterinary hospital that has been caring for the Fremont, California community since 1987 is looking to hire an Associate Veterinarian. Providing care for dogs, cats and some exotic pets including rabbits and guinea pigs, the hospital has built a really strong connection with the local community over nearly four decades. It offers a broad General Practice caseload alongside Emergency Care and some more advanced services, making this an interesting opportunity for someone who enjoys the personal feel of an established community hospital while still having plenty of clinical variety.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of General Practice responsibilities, giving you the opportunity to take ownership of a varied caseload across medicine, diagnostics, surgery and dentistry. You'll be able to stay closely involved throughout your patients' care, from the initial work-up and diagnostic decisions through to treatment planning and ongoing case management, with plenty of scope to use your own clinical judgement along the way. The hospital's broader medical, emergency and surgical capabilities also give you the opportunity to get involved with more interesting cases alongside everyday GP work, while having an established veterinary team around you to bounce ideas off and collaborate with when another perspective would be useful.

Practice Details
The hospital provides a full scope of GP services alongside Emergency Care, Exotic Pet Care, Advanced Surgery, Oncology, Laser Therapy, Rehabilitation, Alternative Medicine and Reproductive Services, giving its veterinarians a particularly varied caseload. Equipment and clinical capabilities available include, but are not limited to, Digital Radiography, an In-House Laboratory, Oxygen Therapy and Airway Support equipment, modern surgical equipment and anesthetic monitoring technology, with a fully equipped treatment area available for emergency cases. The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Saturday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and is closed on Sundays.

Team
You'll currently be joining a 4-DVM team, with a nice mix of experience already within the hospital. The veterinary team includes doctors who have been part of the practice for many years alongside more recent additions, giving you different perspectives and plenty of knowledge to draw on when working through cases. The doctors are supported by an established wider hospital team, with a real emphasis on providing personal, high-quality care and creating an environment where clients and their pets feel genuinely looked after.
