Assistant Coach (Multiple Vacancies)

Overview Rutgers University-Newark, an urban public research university and anchor institution, is seeking an Assistant Coach to assist the Head Coach in developing and maintaining a successful NCAA Division III team and program. Responsibilities include recruiting and retaining athletically and academically qualified student‑athletes, planning and conducting practices, assisting in fundraising, and performing other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Athletic Director. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Athletic Director. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Up to two years of relevant experience in an administrative function with strong communication and computer literacy. One year of coaching or leadership experience at college, high school, or club level. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to recruit for an NCAA Division III institution. Knowledge of NCAA Division III, ECAC, and NJAC regulations and commitment to adhere to all conference and institutional regulations. Valid driver’s license. Salary and Benefits Salary: $15.92 – $30.00 per hour. Compensation is determined by qualifications, experience, market benchmarks, and internal equity.
