About This Role The Registered Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population to achieve desired outcomes. Highlights Location: Hackensack, NJ Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health Schedule: Per Diem, Night shift What You’ll Do Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Perform age and disease specific assessments independently. Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status. Identify patient/family education needs based on age and disease. Develop and coordinate a patient/family focused plan of care. Communicate and implement the plan of care effectively. Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technology. Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes. Adhere to the American Nurses Association Code for Nurses. Requirements Education: Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire Experience: Six (6) or more months of relevant nursing experience OR participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program Licenses & Certifications: Current and valid Registered Nurse license in New Jersey BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible About Hackensack Meridian Health Hackensack Meridian Health is a leading healthcare provider committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
