Travel Registered Nurse PCU Job

Overview

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult patients (18+) in the IMCU/PCU with neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory concerns
- Monitor patient status, administer medications and therapies, and respond to changes in condition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team; assist with discharge planning and family communication
- Utilize EPIC electronic medical record for timely and accurate documentation
- Manage advanced equipment and procedures as needed (e.g., temporary pacer, chest tubes, arterial lines, BiPAP, Neptune Vapo) and work with the RT team for chronic vent support
- Float to adjacent units as assigned and maintain patient safety and quality care standards

Requirements
- Active RN license in New York (NURSYS verification required); RTO requests must be included at submission
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- 2+ years of experience in IMCU/PCU (travel experience preferred)
- EMR experience required: EPIC
- Ability to work night shift and 12-hour blocks; comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Current resume documenting IMCU/PCU experience and travel assignments
