Job Description

ECU Health Chowan Hospital and ECU Health Womens Care-Edenton, located in Edenton , North Carolina are seeking a BC OBGYN to provide hospital call coverage for their established practice. 

New providers would need to orient day before first shift and or morning of first shift.

Coverage needed

OCTOBER
10/2/26 8am -10/5/26 at 8am

NOVEMBER
11/13/26 8am - 11/16/26 at 8am - or 11/20/26 8am -11/23/26 at 8am 

DECEMBER
12/18/26 8 am- 12/21/26 8am

Details

\n
• Hospital privileges at ECU Health Chowan Hospital
\n
• 25-bed hospital
\n
• 100% inpatient clinical care
\n
• Provider must be comfortable with vaginal and cesarean deliveries
\n
• LT must respond to the hospital within 20 minutes
\n
• Low Volume Emergency Department (7 beds)
\n
• Epic EMR
\n
• No ICU responsibilities
\n
• LT will not respond to codes
\n
• ECU Health Air and ECU Health Ground Support to immediately transfer patients when needed
\n
• Delivery volume per month is 28-34
\n

If locums provider covers for more than 6 months they must obtain the following:

• Current  ALSO Certification
\n
• Evidence of completion of the AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course within the last 2 years
\n
• Current  NRP certification ( required for ECU Health Community Hospital obstetricians)
