Hourly Paid Position - No More Flat Rate! Responsibilities Responsible for the effective repair of machine components Pre-order all parts and materials required to perform assigned repairs Effect the repairs in a safe and effective manner Maintain the work area in a clean and safe condition Maintain good working records for time, parts, supplies, and outside purchases in repairs Maintain shop tools, equipment, and vehicles Maintain personal appearance in a professional and neat condition. Wear all personal protective equipment, as required; and urges others to do so. All communications with customers and co-workers are conducted in a manner reflecting respect and integrity Qualifications Strong potential to develop good mechanical skills, good communication skills, and safe work habits Be able to work independent of direct supervision Contribution to spirit of teamwork and cooperation through the branch location, specifically with parts personnel and other service technicians A technical school or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs is preferred, but not required Valid driver's license; clean MVR Physical Requirements Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate construction equipment. Occasionally lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 50-100 pounds and/or frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 20-50 pounds and/or continuous lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling 10-20 pounds Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, grasp or pull and lift objects. Occasionally required to sit, climb, and balance, kneel, stoop, couch, and crawl Consistently exposed to outside weather conditions, fumes, and loud noise.
