Press Manager

This is a critical leadership role responsible for the safety, quality, and operational efficiency of a high-speed metal stamping department. The Role You will lead a sophisticated operation utilizing cutting-edge press and assembly equipment (including large-tonnage presses and automated tandem lines). Your primary mission is to foster a culture of excellence, mentor a dedicated team, and drive performance across multiple shifts. What We’re Looking For

• Experience: Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within automotive or metal stamping.
• Expertise: Deep understanding of lean principles, KPI management, and complex production metrics.
• Leadership: A track record of coaching and developing supervisors and large production teams.
• Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and experience with production reporting tools.
• Agility: A solution-oriented mindset with the ability to troubleshoot production challenges in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing

• Operational Leadership: Manage all day-to-day operations for the Press Department, ensuring smooth production flow and high output quality.
• Team Development: Provide mentorship and coaching to Assistant Managers, Supervisors, and Team Leads to cultivate a high-performance, safety-conscious culture.
• Performance Optimization: Drive departmental success through proactive KPI management and the application of continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Kaizen/Kobetsu).
• Strategic Planning: Establish and track production goals, monitor efficiency targets, and implement effective countermeasures for any production, safety, or delivery risks.
• Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with Quality, Human Resources, and other leadership teams to ensure company-wide alignment and business success
