Job Description An HVAC Installer (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Installer) is responsible for installing, replacing, and setting up heating, cooling, and ventilation systems in residential or commercial buildings. Here is a breakdown of their primary duties, key skills, and typical work environment: Primary Responsibilities System Installation: Put in new heating and cooling units (central air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits) as well as the accompanying ductwork, vents, and thermostats. Typical Work Environment HVAC installers work in a variety of settings, ranging from residential homes to large commercial construction sites. Because they frequently deal with attics, basements, and outdoor units, the work can be physically demanding and subject to extreme temperatures depending on the season.
