Quality Control Technician

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for executing the overall quality control procedures throughout the plant.

Responsibilities

• Follow Food Safety/Food Quality Program, Food Security, Good Manufacturing Practices
• Perform a pre-operational check of the processing plant prior to production
• Evaluate various attributes of eggs by sampling them and document results. Communicate findings to Supervisor if results fall below an acceptable standard
• Work with Resident USDA Inspectors to ensure all processes and finished goods are in compliance
• Observe all stages of packaging to ensure eggs are properly packaged, labeled and loaded and that counts are correct for each customer order
• Carry out and document non-conformances and corrective actions
• Perform receiving inspection on incoming goods
• Inspect and calibrate monitoring equipment
• Maintain accuracy in all records
• Perform product food safety/quality related lab testing and be observant of supplies and notify Shift Supervisor if supplies are low
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Good communication and basic problem-solving skills
• English Speaker
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently
• Food manufacturing experience preferred
• Previous Quality Control experience preferred
