Working under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, you will provide hands-on care, monitor resident well-being, and help ensure the highest quality of life for those entrusted to your care.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide direct patient care and support to residents in a long-term care or skilled nursing settingAssist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including:Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staffMonitor and document vital signs and other health-related observationsMaintain accurate and timely patient documentationPromote a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residentsProtect resident privacy, dignity, and confidentialityParticipate in orientation, training, and continuing education programsAssist with meal preparation as neededFollow all facility, state, and federal regulations, policies, and proceduresQualifications• High School Diploma or GED• Current Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Certification/Registration• Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association compliant)• Minimum of 6 months experience as an Aide Trainee or 1 year of paid experience caring for geriatric, long-term care, or medically complex patients• Successful completion of all pre-employment screening and clearance requirements, including background check and fingerprinting.• Strong communication and interpersonal skills• Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications• Ability to accurately collect, document, and communicate patient information• Understanding of behavioral health and age-related care considerationsInclusion & Cultural Competency• Utilize appropriate methods for interacting effectively and professionally with persons of all ages and from diverse cultural socioeconomic, educational, racial, and ethnic, sexual orientations, lifestyles, and physical abilities.• Deliver targeted, culturally appropriate information to help individuals and groups understand health promotion and disease prevention information, policies, regulations, and local code.EEO StatementAMI provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds to participate in its employment practices.
