Registered Nurse (RN) – Residential Treatment Center Location: Johnston, IA Schedule: 12‑Hour Shifts (Day & Night Shifts Available) Pay: $45–$48/hour Position Summary Nextaff is seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) to join a dedicated healthcare team at a residential treatment center in Johnston, Iowa. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans. Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility policies. Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in health status. Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical documentation. Collaborate with physicians, behavioral health professionals, therapists, and other healthcare staff. Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatment plans, and wellness strategies. Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and facility regulations. Promote a safe, therapeutic, and respectful environment for all residents. Qualifications Active Iowa Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact RN license eligible to practice in Iowa. Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred, if applicable). Previous nursing experience preferred; experience in residential care, behavioral health, mental health, substance use treatment, or long‑term care is a plus. Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
