About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Network Engineer to join our DevOps team and drive the Networking foundation of our next-generation banking platform. This role is an onsite-role in Charolette, North Carolina. As a Senior Cloud Network Engineer, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of complex network architectures across cloud environments. You’ll serve as a subject matter expert, driving scalable, secure, and highly available networking solutions that support critical business applications. This is a high-impact role for a hands-on engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, cloud-first environment and brings deep expertise in cloud networking, automation, and architectural design. Key Responsibilities: Architect and lead implementation of enterprise-grade cloud networking infrastructure in AWS while defining cloud network architecture standards, governance, and best practices Design and manage scalable connectivity solutions including VPCs, Direct Connect, Private links, VPNs, Bastion hosts and Network released items etc. Oversee network integration between AWS cloud and external FedNow Datacenters and Core banking systems. Implement and manage cloud firewalls, security groups, NACLs, and routing policies Automate provisioning, monitoring, and configuration of network services using Terraform as Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) Lead troubleshooting of complex network issues and optimize network performance, cost, reliability, and security posture across environments Collaborate with application teams to align network designs with performance and security requirements Create runbooks and document every implementation details for tracking purpose and mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team Ability to communicate and work continuously with clients for Onboarding and addressing client networking issues. Required Qualifications: 8+ years of professional experience in network engineering, with at least 3+ years focused on cloud networking 5+ years of experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) in a multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments, with deep knowledge of cloud-native network services (e.g. AWS Networking, Direct Connect, Fortinet Switches, Firewall Networks) 5+ years of experience with L2/L3 protocols, routing, DNS, load balancing, NAT, BGP, and IPSEC 5+ years of experience with Infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and automation tools like Terraform, CloudFormation Template 5+ years of experience securing cloud networks using firewalls, segmentation, and Zero Trust principles Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education. Nice-to-haves Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Advanced Networking Specialty, CCNP/CCIE) Experience in high-throughput payments systems (ACH, Fedwire, RTP, FedNow, SWIFT) Experience with container networking (Kubernetes, CNI plugins) Familiarity with cloud security frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS Benchmarks, Zero Trust) Experience in regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare, government) Strong communication skills and ability to lead cross-functional initiatives Why Join Us?: Architect and shape a world-class banking platform.
