Direct Care Worker (DCW)

Location : Tunkhannock, PA (Wyoming County)

Familiar Roads Home Healthcare is now hiring Direct Care Workers (DCWs) in Tunkhannock and surrounding communities throughout Wyoming County. We’re looking for compassionate and dependable individuals ready to make a difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities through in-home support and companionship.

Applicants must meet the following Pennsylvania state and agency requirements:

• Completed Competency Exam or PA-compliant training program per Department of Health (DOH) standards

• Current CPR Certification

• Recent TB Test & Physical Exam (within the past 12 months) — QuantiFERON-TB Gold or equivalent accepted

• Proof of Pennsylvania Residency for the past two (2) years

• Two (2) Valid Professional References

• Clear Criminal Background Check

• Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently

• Neat appearance and practices good personal hygiene

• Assist with personal hygiene (bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting)

• Meal preparation and feeding support

• Perform light housekeeping and laundry

• Support with mobility and transfers

• Provide medication reminders (non-clinical)

• Observe and report changes in client condition

• Flexible scheduling (including mornings, evenings, and weekends)

• Bi-Weekly pay

• Paid training and onboarding

• Serve UPMC , Keystone First , and PA Health & Wellness clients
