Principal Product Manager Automation Systems
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Negotiable based on candidate experience and qualifications Position Overview
We are seeking a Principal Product Manager Automation Systems to lead product strategy, development, and lifecycle management for industrial automation and control system solutions.
Key Responsibilities-
Define and execute product portfolio strategy, roadmaps, business cases, and development plans.

Own product lifecycle management and P&L for automation systems and digital solutions.

Drive product strategy across product, pricing, positioning, and promotion .

Develop customer-focused solutions using human-centered design and UX principles .

Identify opportunities to incorporate digital technologies and trends into products and systems.

Ensure effective value propositions, differentiation, training, and marketing materials.
-
Manage products throughout their lifecycle, from development through market growth and optimization.

Identify and partner with third-party suppliers to expand, improve, or accelerate product capabilities.
-
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or related field.
-
8+ years of experience in product management or product development.
-
Strong knowledge of industrial automation and control systems , including PLCs and/or building automation.

Experience with product strategy, lifecycle management, and cross-functional execution.
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred: Experience developing product roadmaps/business cases, digital transformation, UX/human-centered design, P&L management, and third-party supplier partnerships.
