Job Description UW Medical Center - Northwest has an outstanding opportunity for a Full-TIME, REGISTERED NURSE in the OPERATING ROOM DEPARTMENT. WORK SCHEDULE Full time / 40 Hours per week Rotating/variable shift POSITION HIGHLIGHTS Circulate and Scrub a variety of surgical cases As a registered nurse (RN), you can be part of this highly skilled team, working within a culture that is collaborative. Here, you will work in tandem with physicians and other health care practitioners to provide superior nursing care. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Provide pre-, intra-, and post-operative care for surgical patients, a role that includes preparing the surgical site and equipment. Assist surgeons during operations by providing instruments and managing patient needs, and monitoring patient recovery. Act as a patient advocate, maintain a sterile environment, coordinate with the healthcare team, and provide patient education for recovery. BLS and minimum of 2 years current general OR nursing experience with circulating in a variety of clinical settings required. Scrub experience is desired but not required. REQUIREMENTS Current unrestricted WA license One year of Operating Room nursing experience Scrub and or Circulate experience About UW Medical Center-Northwest UW Medical Center is an acute care hospital located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest.
