Snapshot / Role Overview
We're seeking a Senior HVAC Technician in San Diego to lead service operations and maintain complex commercial systems in Southern California's premier market. Impact • Maintain critical HVAC systems for hospitals, hotels, and commercial facilities • Lead emergency response for high-priority commercial accounts • Drive customer satisfaction through expert technical service and troubleshooting • Support San Diego's tourism and business sectors through reliable building operations • Mentor junior technicians and ensure service quality standards Responsibilities • Service advanced commercial HVAC systems including chillers and large RTUs • Perform complex diagnostics on building automation and control systems• Lead system retrofits and energy efficiency upgrade projects • Coordinate preventive maintenance programs with facility managers • Train and develop junior service technicians on advanced procedures • Respond to critical emergency calls for major commercial accounts • Maintain detailed service records and customer communication • Support sales initiatives through technical expertise and customer relationships Requirements *Must-Haves:* • 7+ years commercial HVAC service experience • EPA Universal certification for all refrigerant types • Advanced electrical and controls troubleshooting skills • Valid California driver's license with clean record • Experience with large tonnage commercial equipment • Strong leadership and customer communication abilities *Nice-to-Haves:* • California HVAC contractor license or journeyman certification • Building automation systems training (Johnson Controls, Honeywell) • OSHA 30 certification • Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills Compensation & Logistics Competitive salary depending on experience; benefits include health insurance, dental coverage, PTO, holidays, retirement plan, and company vehicle.
