Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A healthcare facility in Gretna, LA is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist specializing in critical care for a 13-week contract position starting June 2. This role focuses on providing expert pharmaceutical care in a Level 1 trauma center environment, primarily supporting the Cardiovascular ICU and Medical ICU2.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver clinical pharmacy services in an inpatient hospital setting.
• Manage medication therapy for critically ill patients in the CV ICU and Medical ICU2.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
• Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record system for documentation and medication management.

Desired Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year recent critical care/clinical pharmacy experience in a Level 1 trauma center.
• PGY-2 residency preferred but not mandatory.
• Louisiana pharmacy license in hand.
• Board certification is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with inpatient hospital pharmacy operations.
• Open to first-time travel pharmacists.

Schedule:

• Day shifts, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, every other week.

This contract opportunity is ideal for pharmacists with strong critical care skills who are ready to contribute immediately to intensive care units. Candidates must be proficient with EPIC and hold the appropriate licensure before assignment.
