Location: Richmond, VA - 23231

Duration: 03 Months (possible extension)

Schedule: 4/3/3/4 Type Schedule

1st Shift: 6 AM – 6 PM, Sun-Wed/Sun-Tues Alternating

2nd Shift: 6 PM - 6 AM, Wed-Sat/Thu-Sat Alternating

Job Description:

• Ensure safe and reliable operation of production electrical testing equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance independently.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems with minimal supervision.
• Identify equipment issues, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective actions.
• Accurately document maintenance work, downtime, and repairs in CMMS systems.
• Follow and continuously improve standard work procedures and maintenance practices.
• Collaborate with operators, technicians, and engineers to resolve equipment issues.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, etc.).
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and actively support safety initiatives.

Basic Qualifications:

• Degree in related field, technical or vocational training with certificate OR 5-8 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment OR 4 years military service in a related field.
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment independently.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance and documenting work orders.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems and standard computer skills.
• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with conveyors, automated systems, or electrical test equipment.
• Experience participating in root cause analysis or continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience troubleshooting automation systems, such as VFDs, Servos, PLCs, and Robotics.
