About our client: Our client is a manufacturer and supplier of engineered parts & components to Fortune 500 & 1000 companies including OEMs and Tier 1 companies globally. Our client is a highly regarded machining and assembly supplier to automotive, marine, heavy truck, telecommunications, agriculture, electronics, hydraulics, lighting, medical, furniture, oil and gas, mining, power generations, material handling and many other industries. It supplies engineering components including battery trays and frames for hydrogen as well as the electric vehicle industry.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position are listed below. This list is not all-inclusive and may be amended from time to time. 

• Deliver complete, on-time PPAP/APQP packages that earn customer approval for new CNC launches and process changes. 
• Lead 8D and CAPA teams that close customer, supplier, and internal issues within 30 days and prevent recurrence. 
• Hold assigned processes at Cpk ≥ 1.33 and IATF 16949 compliance through layered audits, MSA, and SPC. 
• Disposition nonconforming material the same shift and implement containment that protects the customer and the line. 
• Raise first-pass yield by training operators on critical characteristics and GD&T and by driving process improvements with Engineering and Production. 
• Represent Aerostar in customer quality reviews and convert findings into plant-wide corrective actions. 

 

 

ENVIRONMENT & RESOURCES  

You report to the Quality Manager and work daily with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, CMM programmers, and gage technicians on the shop floor. You will use Zeiss Calypso, SPC software, Microsoft Office, and existing metrology resources. This is a hands-on role in a 201–500 person, privately held manufacturer with entrepreneurial pace. 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED  

• Demonstrated PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC, and launch experience in CNC machining or automotive manufacturing. 
• Fluent GD&T and ability to read prints and CAD models to set inspection and process controls. 
• Working knowledge of IATF 16949 and participation in internal or customer audits. 
• Proven root-cause analysis, 8D, and cross-functional problem solving that sticks. 
• Clear, professional communication with customers, operators, and leadership.
