Summary (Essential Functions): Wash and properly store all cooking utensils, china equipment, flatware, and glassware.Details:Wash all wares in dishwashing machine or by hand according to the highest sanitation standardsCollect trash from kitchen areas; empty garbage cans, wash, and re-line with new bags. Break down boxes, crates, and removes debrisExamine garbage for misplaced silverware, dishes, glassware, and other reusable itemsWash and polish all stainless steel in the kitchen including shelves, dish cabinets, ice machines, coffee area, refrigerators, walk-ins, etc.Wash and clean receiving, trash and other kitchen-related areasSweep and mop kitchen floorsStore all dishes and other wares in proper areasClean dish machine and dish area after each meal periodMaintain inventories of soap, chemicals, and paper towelsTransfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areasHandle all china and glassware carefully to minimize breakageContinuously inspect floors in kitchen areas to ensure they remain clean, clear of debris, and dryAssist in completing weekly kitchen cleaning and maintenance listClean and safely store all brooms, mops, and other cleaning equipment in their proper placesQualifications: Must be able to stand for long periods and lift at least 50 pounds. Flexible availability preferred. Qualified candidates will be reliable, professional, and able to successfully work in a team environment. Candidates will have effective listening and communication skills and a strong desire to provide excellent service.
