Mobile Medical Trailer Truck Driver CDL OTR - Full TimeAkumin Inc$27 - $37 an hour depending experience and locationPaid training, 401(k), Health insurance, Paid time off, Vision insurance, Dental insuranceLocation: NortheastWe are seeking dependable and efficient CDL Class A truck drivers to drive tractor trailers for national over the road deliveries of medical diagnostic equipment. Must be organized, detail oriented, and comfortable working independently. A clean driving record and commercial driving experience is a must.CDL-A drivers are responsible for the safe and timely movement of tractor trailers configured for mobile medical imaging (MRI, PET & CT mobile units).The MRI/CT techs in the mobile units scan during the day, so drivers will move trailers at night to locations where appointments are scheduled. Employees report to designated parking location daily to pick up their truck, then drive to hospitals & medical clinics. Once the employee arrives at a client location, they drop off or pick up their trailer. Set up/tear down requires drivers to get out of their truck and unload or pack up the trailer (we say this takes about 30-45 minutes). Drivers will typically transport 1-2 trailers a night. Drivers will be provided training for 4-6 weeks to learn the routes and to learn how to set up/tear down trailers.Shift & ScheduleEmployees work 8 -12 hours shifts. Shifts will include a mixture of week days and/or week nights and some weekends. Expect to be away from home 1-2 weeks at a time.Requirements and QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferredValid commercial driver's license in the state of residence and DOT Medical certificationAble to set up medical diagnostic equipment at delivery sites (training will be provided)Clean DOT driving record with no moving violationsComfortable with transporting and setting up medical equipmentMust pass a background check and drug testSkilled at driving and parking large, heavy tractor trailersAbility to drive safely and not cause damages to equipment or client propertyAbility to lift up to 100 lbs. at a timeEstimated weight1.
