Shop Laborer

Position Summary A shop laborer position includes various manual tasks associated with the shop operations. Responsibilities Comply with (and actively promote) all Safety policies and procedures including reporting all accidents, incidents and near misses to ensure adherence to our Number One Core Value – Safety, first in everything we do. Complete daily checklist of inventories. Clean and maintain shop vehicles. Unload freight deliveries as needed. Parts runner as needed. Must have a knowledge and understanding of the procedures to use the tools and equipment safely and properly. Organize and maintain shop and yard in a neat and orderly fashion. Qualifications Must have 2-5 years of Heavy/Civil Construction experience. Must be able to follow verbal instructions. Maintain good health status and flexibility to bend, push, pull, stoop and/or twist. Must be able to perform strenuous work in varying weather conditions. Necessary Attributes Must possess the ability to adapt to different personalities and management styles. Team player and with good interpersonal skills. Self-starter with good verbal communication skills. Reliance on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Dedicated and hard working. Strong commitment to success of all.
