Technical Business Analyst-Insurance

Job Summary:


The Technical Business Analyst, (BA), will be responsible for owning the overall design of assigned technical projects (custom or product strategy) as well as recommending best practices for solutions based on client business needs. This role as a Technical Business Analyst will require strategic design and mapping of business requirements and solutions to system/technical requirements.
• Preparing, facilitating, documenting and participating in client meetings/workshops conducting a structured gathering, research, and analysis
• Developing and evaluating procedures, controls, user requirements, and functional specifications to identify gaps between the current state and future state
• Creating business requirement documents (BRD's) into use cases/functional specifications for customization
• Requirements gathering, functional requirements, user stories, and documentation business/data/application/technology architectures, requirements and business rules
• Business process models/design, logical data models, standards and guidance
• Documenting and explaining problems and works to resolve software defects while ensuring technical compatibility and end-user satisfaction
• Analyzing, developing and proposing enhancements to current business processes, reports and applications in order to optimize system effectiveness
• Conducting customer interviews and producing meeting summaries
• Conducting market/client research and industry analysis of requirements
• Producing high-quality verbal and written consulting deliverables (including proposals, customer presentations, consulting reports) to effectively communicate project findings
• Generating re-usable intellectual capital in the form of consulting methodology and templates, blueprints and business cases
• Basic scripting and project plans

Qualifications:
• BA/BS Degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and progressive experience
• 4-7+ Years Business Analyst Experience
• Demonstrates the ability to effectively prepare and maintain the documents / tools including Business Process, Process Flow Analysis, Experience working with developers
• Basic competence in at least one programming language (e.g. JavaScript, C#, etc.)


Skills and Experience:
• Strong experience as a Business Analyst / BA on development projects
• Experience of working with development teams
• Experience with using techniques such as Use Cases, User Stories, Wire Framing,
• Storyboards and UML modelling
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - comfortable liaising senior
• stakeholders as well as technical staff
• Strong analytical and product management abilities
• Agile development experience
