Job Description Summary Candidates should be passionate educators and practitioners who can facilitate the needs of diverse 21st century learners who aspire to practice in respective field. Broward College places special importance on helping under‑prepared students achieve academic success. Minimum Education & Experience Master’s Degree in Nursing. PhD preferred. Active Nursing License in the State of Florida without restrictions. The successful candidate should have a minimum of three years of clinical nursing direct patient care experience in any nursing specialty, strongly preferred. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the ongoing continuous quality improvement of the RN‑BSN Program based on accreditation standards established by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The successful candidate must have a high level of computer literacy and a commitment to teaching. The successful candidate will be expected to learn to use and maintain the use of computer‑assisted referral software in identifying students at academic risk and referring them to student academic success resources such as NAVIGATE, MAXIENT. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain active professional development activities and service to the Department and College. Committee work is expected. All schedules require on‑campus and/or virtual office hours, and some may require evening and/or weekend hours. Experience working with students on IT related projects outside of the classroom is a plus. Candidate Qualifications Mastery of their specific discipline. A deep commitment to the college mission of fostering student success, achievement and persistence. Technology competencies as well as teaching/counseling skills and strategies that facilitate 21st century literacies. The use of resources that prepare students for productive lives. Experience using various educational technological mediums.
