Consults with radiologist, as necessary.Performs imaging examinations using established protocols.Assists in non-routine specialized exams such as vascular studies and procedures utilizing imaging equipment and techniques.Produces diagnostic images and processes; prepares images for interpretation by the radiologist.Documents accurate history, signs, symptoms, and preliminary findings.Verifies that measurements are accurately taken prior to completing the exam.Verifies that all images are attached and exams are linked in PACS.Assists physician in the performance of specialized procedures. Secures supplies and is knowledgeable of sterile techniques.Cleans, checks, and maintains sonographic equipment submitting maintenance requests or performing minor repairs, as necessary.Scans and handles patients with a high degree of professional ethics, care, tact, courtesy, patience, and safety.Minimum QualificationsGraduate of approved CAHEA school of diagnostic medical sonography or certification program.
