Specialized Sr Workers' Compensation Claim Representative

Position Overview Specialized Senior Claim Representative – Workers Compensation Salary Range: $73,900.00 – $122,000.00 (annual base). Eligible for a sign‑on bonus and performance‑based cash incentive awards. You will investigate, evaluate, reserve, negotiate, and resolve Workers Compensation claims under the Travelers Single Adjuster Model, including Constitution State Services (CSS), Custom Comp, and other corporate claims. The role involves interpreting multi‑jurisdictional laws, handling Special Account Communication (SAC) and fronting carrier requirements, maintaining full compliance with quality standards and state regulations, and serving as a consultant and training resource. Key Responsibilities Lead investigations and make decisions for claims of varying severity and complexity across multiple jurisdictions. Update estimates to reflect exposure and develop creative resolution strategies. Implement proactive action plans and collaborate with customers, fronting carriers, and stakeholders. Communicate claim status efficiently to all parties, including business partners, injured employees, medical providers, and legal counsel. Maintain open lines of communication, anticipate touchpoints, and keep customers apprised of changes and strategies. Ensure file quality, timely coverage analysis, and compliance with SAC instructions and fronting carrier requirements. Engage internal and external resources to resolve claims effectively. Document claim activities per established procedures and expectations. Obtain and maintain required Insurance License(s) within three months of hire. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent). Three years of Workers Compensation claim handling experience. Proficiency in compensability investigations, proactive return‑to‑work strategy, medical and complex injury management. Strong evaluation, critical, and analytical skills with ability to synthesize information from multiple sources. In‑depth knowledge of multi‑jurisdictional laws and regulations. Experience with Fronting Carrier relationships and reporting requirements. High‑volume, fast‑paced environment experience with ability to handle multiple priorities. Excellent communication, coaching, influence, and persuasion skills. Team‑player who adapts to and champions change in an agile environment. Minimum Requirements High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. Two years of Workers Compensation claim handling experience.
