This position offers competitive hourly pay, modern automatic equipment, and consistent regional work. Drivers will transport roofing sheet metal and steel coils across Texas and surrounding states, with 2–3 overnight layovers per week.Pay & Schedule$28.00 per hour Dispatch typically between 4:00 AM and 5:00 AM Shifts averaging 10–14 hours per day Regional schedule with 2–3 layovers per week Typically out Sunday through Tuesday or Wednesday, with an additional Thursday departure and Friday evening return Routes and schedules may vary based on delivery needs Job DetailsRoute type: Regional deliveries across Texas, New Mexico, Georgia, Louisiana, and Oklahoma Equipment: Peterbilt and Freightliner sleeper cabs Trailers: 53-foot curtain-side Conestoga flatbeds Transmission: Automatic Freight: Roofing sheet metal and skidded steel coils Handling: Load securement, strapping, and occasional loading and unloading using Moffett, boom truck, or forklift Training: 1–2 days of ride-along training with an experienced company driver Key ResponsibilitiesOperate a CDL Class A tractor-trailer on assigned regional flatbed routes. Transport roofing sheet metal and steel coils safely to customer locations. Properly strap, secure, and inspect loads before and during transport. Assist with loading and unloading using Moffett, boom truck, or forklift equipment as required. Handle lighter freight, including trim box bundles, when necessary. Complete scheduled deliveries and communicate route delays or concerns with dispatch. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Follow all applicable cargo securement, safety, and transportation regulations.
