Production Manager

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Manage daily production operations, including scheduling, planning, and workflow coordination to ensure projects are completed on time.
Review engineering and shop drawings for accuracy and manufacturability.
Oversee quality assurance throughout the production process to maintain high workmanship standards.
Lead, train, supervise, and evaluate production staff while maintaining accountability and productivity.
Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, finishing, and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Oversee preventive maintenance of production equipment and assist with maintenance activities as needed.
Conduct safety meetings and ensure compliance with workplace safety standards.
Monitor production performance and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.

Qualifications

Experience as a Production Manager or similar leadership role in commercial millwork, architectural woodwork, cabinetry, furniture manufacturing, or a related woodworking environment.
Strong production planning, scheduling, and workflow management experience.
Ability to read and interpret engineering and shop drawings.
Experience leading, training, and managing production teams.
Knowledge of quality assurance processes and continuous improvement practices.
Familiarity with woodworking machinery, equipment maintenance, and manufacturing operations.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence.
