Your skill ensures every Weatherby stock not only performs but also looks world-class.SUMMARY DESCRIPTIONThe Stock Finisher I is responsible for finishing Weatherby rifle stocks using a variety of techniques including hydrographic finishes, painting, sponge painting, and HVLP spray coatings. Paint beautiful stocks that people will treasure. Operate an HVLP spray gun with efficiency and consistency. Apply water transfer printed films with precision. Inspect all products post-coating and curing. Maintain a clean and efficient work area. Support continuous improvement to make your department a little bit better every day.QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma, GED, or minimum 6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent English written and oral communication skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents including safety rules and procedure manuals. Ability to apply basic math and use measuring instruments. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in standardized processes.ACCOUNTABILITIES AND MEASURES Ensure that assigned orders are completed according to schedule. Maintain quality standards as set forth by Weatherby. Meet objective goals assigned during performance coaching.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSWhile performing the duties of this job the employee is required to acknowledge: Ability to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. Prolonged standing required; must be able to manipulate and assemble small parts. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
