Warehouse Associate/Backup Driver

Job Description: OES Equipment, a division of the DPR Family of Companies, is a fast‑paced and innovative construction consumable and heavy equipment rental company seeking a Warehouse Associate/Backup Driver for our Cartersville, GA location. The hybrid role supports daily warehouse operations and assists with deliveries as needed, ensuring accurate and timely order fulfillment and contributing to warehouse best practices and inventory control. Responsibilities Order Fulfillment & Shipping Coordination: pull customer orders accurately and efficiently, load and unload trucks according to delivery schedules, perform cycle counts, verify inventory accuracy, pull and process transfers between locations, receive incoming stock, update BIN locations, restock inventory following FIFO practices. Warehouse Operations: maintain general housekeeping, verify packing slips, prepare shipments via double‑check process, assist with Will Call pickups, coordinate with customers, update and verify Will Call purchase orders, file PODs and other shipping paperwork. Vehicle Operation (Backup Driver): serve as backup delivery driver when primary driver is unavailable, communicate professionally with customers prior to delivery, conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, maintain vehicle upkeep, track maintenance intervals, comply with FMCSA regulations and company vehicle guidelines. Equipment & Safety: operate warehouse equipment (based on training and certification), unload equipment as required, secure loads for transport, follow safety protocols, assist with pre‑trip inspections and loading verifications. Required Skills and Abilities Strong attention to detail and time‑management skills. Positive interpersonal skills and strong work ethic. Strong verbal communication skills, especially in customer interactions. Ability to work in a team as well as independently. Self‑driven, able to work in a fast‑paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite. Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance. Education and Experience Prior warehouse and trailer experience preferred. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Must pass a drug screen if required. Comply with FMCSA regulations for the relevant class of operator. Experience operating warehouse equipment (preferred or training provided). Construction supply and equipment knowledge a plus. Experience with operating various types of construction equipment a plus. Rental Man software experience a plus. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of standing, walking, lifting and loading. Safely operate warehouse machinery (training provided if needed). Lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds at times. Periods of sitting in a vehicle/truck and operating it safely for local deliveries.
